At Evolve Regeneration, we explore how underutilised natural fibre materials can be transformed into practical, higher-value products.
Circular Material Solutions
Alongside our education resource products, we are developing circular material solutions using Irish wool, wool textile offcuts, flax and hemp, with a particular focus on materials that are currently underused or treated as waste.
From overlooked materials to useful products
Ireland has valuable natural fibre resources, but limited infrastructure for processing them into new materials and products. Our work looks at how existing resources and residual materials can be processed locally and returned to productive use.
Working with growers, fibre processors, manufacturers and technical specialists, we are utilising processes including retting, decortication, ragging, carding and needle-punching to develop and test new material combinations.
Building an Irish Natural Fibre Value Chain
Goals
Our goal is to demonstrate how materials already available in Ireland can become part of a more circular, locally connected supply chain, linking growers, processors, manufacturers and end users.
Implementation
By developing practical uses for natural fibres and textile residues, we hope to contribute to greater material efficiency, reduced waste and new opportunities for Irish-grown and recovered fibres.
The Natural Choice
By engaging in the recovery and recycling of natural textiles and materials which are otherwise rendered obsolete and processing them into furniture filling and finished products, we offer a natural choice as the alternative to synthetics.
